Taking care of New Mexico’s pets since 1987!
Cats, dogs and exotic animals! Veto is able to take care of your pet health care needs for cats, dogs, birds, chickens, snakes, turtles, reptiles, and lizards.
VetCo has a commitment to providing quality pet care at affordable prices. For over 25 years, we have been giving well animal veterinary services to New Mexico’s pets. Headed by Dr. Charles Olinger, DVM our veterinarians have over 75 years experience between them and offer high quality low cost pet care to New Mexico’s cats, dogs and exotic animals.
Our first pet clinic opened in 1987. Since then we have grown from one clinic serving Albuquerque to two clinics serving both Albuquerque and Los Lunas. We have more than 5 veterinarians serving the two vet clinics and have treated more than a million pets!
Keeping our commitment to high quality low cost pet care we offer a large number of well animal veterinary services as well as non-surgical veterinary treatments. Our vet clinics provide veterinary services that include annual checkups, vaccinations, spays and neuters, dental cleanings and extractions, exotic animal care, beak and nail trims and prescription treatments.
At VetCo we are committed to the health of New Mexico’s animal community, including helping stray cats and dogs, and feral cats. We are the first clinic in Albuquerque to work with animal rescue groups to improve the health of rescue animals. We have worked with Animal Humane New Mexico, Peoples Anti-Cruelty Association (PACA), Best Friends Animal Society and many other animal rescue groups for over 25 years. In our joint vet services, we have been able to treat more than a quarter million of Albuquerque’s stray and feral animals. We have a commitment to the New Mexico animal community, to help New Mexico’s animals maintain healthy and happy lives. Because of our services to the Humane Society and the City, among others, we continue to help New Mexico’s animals find loving homes and live long healthy lives.
A healthy pet is a happy pet! By providing high quality low cost veterinary services we maintain our commitment to the New Mexico animal community and continue to work towards helping New Mexico’s pets receive fast and affordable veterinary services.

Meet our vets!
Dr. Sonja Sims graduated from Colorado State. When faced with the near death of an exotic bird Sonya nursed the bird back to health and realized that healing is in her blood. Her favorite part of being a vet is puppy dog kisses and kitten cuddles.
Dr. Janet Kramer graduated from the University of Minnesota. She has been practicing for over 15 years. An early on pet lover, her rabbit Nibbles inspired Janet to become a dedicated lifetime care giver for our animal friends.
Dr. Mark Herbert graduated from the University of California. He has been practicing for over 16 years. Mark has always had a heart of gold when it comes to our furry friends. He has been a protector of critters his entire life, always finding sick or injured animals and nursing them back to health. He is also an avid animal photographer and loves being a part of nature.
Dr. Kay Duffin graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. She has been a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians since 1991. Her primary focus are birds, but she also treats other exotic animals such as: rabbits, snakes, lizards, turtles, reptiles, and more. She is an active member of the bird community in Albuquerque and has been a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians since 1988.
