RECIPE: No Pan Omelets for Dogs

dog fritatta recipe dog foodOmelets are not just a treat for humans, they are a treat for dogs too. Not only are they delicious but they are healthy! Here is a easy to make omelet recipe for your dog that you can also make for yourself….in case you don’t want him to eat by himself.

An added benefit for both canines and humans, eggs are high in fatty acids and proteins!

No Pan Omelets for Dogs Recipe

Ingredients:

Eggs (Organic is best) – 2

Smoked Salmon – chop about 1 -2 ounces

Green Pepper (Diced)

Olive oil – 1/8 th teaspoon

Directions

You will need an oven safe ramekin.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Grease the ramekin with a small amount of olive oil to keep the eggs from sticking. Crack the eggs into the ramekin. Add the green pepper and salmon and stir it all together with a fork. Make sure that it is full mixed and all the white and yellow are mixed together.

Put it in the oven for 10-12 minutes. You should be able to stick a toothpick into it and have it come out clean.

Let it cool before serving to your dog.

Another great idea is to make this with a muffin pan. 1 ramekin is typically 2-3 muffins in the pan. Multiply the recipe to increase the size then put all of it in the oven. Then you have frittatas! You can snack on them and feed them to your dog for dinner.

Always consult with your Albuquerque vet about your dogs nutritional needs. Certain medical conditions may require a different diet. If making substitutions make sure not to use any foods that are toxic to your dog, such as onions.
